Australian singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Sparrows returns to earth to release 'Do U Wanna Dance?' following the astronomical rise of her debut single 'Over & Out' on Stoney Roads Records that found daily Triple J support, on average 4-5 stars on Unearthed and clocked over 800,000 streams on Spotify.

The talented Sydney based Jessica Nitties fell in love with playing the guitar and writing songs as a kid after hearing the stories of her father and uncle playing in bands around Australia back in the day.

Creating pop-laden melodies with percussive ingenuity, Sparrows is no stranger of emotionally evocative music with her two previous singles 'Over & Out' and 'Take My Heart Out' collecting:

- Over a million plays

- #6 on Spotify Aus viral charts

- #27 on Shazam Aus viral charts

- Multiple number 1's on Hype Machine.

'Do U Wanna Dance?' is the story of a boozy house party hook-up song coupled with a warm, rolling drum line and softly peppered chorus eloquently explained by Sparrows herself:

"When you find yourself at a shit party and the only thing stopping you from leaving is the hope you'll hook up with that one person you've had your eye on for ages."

B-side 'Can I Be The One?' shares a darker message (and voice) ridding atop of scattered synths and wonky vocals:

"After watching the documentary 'Dominion', I needed to make a piece of music. 'Can I Be The One?' is a voice for the animals and any being who is made to feel less important by other members of society. We are all deserving of life no matter who/what we are."

With musical influences including Grimes, Santigold and Bonobo, her music often blends elements of indie pop and electronic. Sparrows’ is an oddity in pop music, maybe because of her production choices and somewhat child-like singing voice, giving her a unique edge. There's plenty more to come from this talented artist.
